It is a great pleasure to announce the new album Maestro Ivo Pogorelich released for Sony Classical!
With the present album, Ivo Pogorelich delivers his first Chopin album in over 20 years.
In this masterpiece he devotes himself to Chopin’s late works. He skillfully works out contradictions, deliberately puts his finger on the contrasts in Chopin’s works and makes them shine in their darker sides.
For this release Maestro Pogorelich chose to record the following Chopin’s late masterworks: Nocturne Op. 48, No. 1, Nocturne Op. 62, No. 2, Fantaisie Op. 49 and Piano Sonata No. 3 in B minor Op. 58.

TRIBUTE TO MARTHA ARGERICH

The tribute to Abbado scheduled for 3 May at the Philharmonie de Paris turned into a TRIBUTE TO MARTHA ARGERICH, as Ivo Pogorelich ended up performing the concert – originally planned as a duet – as a soloist, with Martha Argerich unable to attend due to the war in Israel.
